THIS EVENT HAS TAKEN PLACE
This lecture gave an update on this unique project that produced description lists of the Gielgud, Richardson, St Denis and Hardwicke archives at the British Library, as well as creating an oral history archive of recollections of British theatre between 1945 and 1968, and collecting missing post-1968 scripts which should be lodged at the British Library under the terms of the 1968 Theatres Act.
Professor Dominic Shellard is Head of the Department of English Literature and Head of the School of English at the University of Sheffield. Dr Ewan Jeffrey is a Post-doctoral Research Associate in the Department of English Literature at Sheffield. A specialist in Pinter, he has responsibility for the oral history archive.
